The idea for a profitable and stable business – diversification of the current activity.
At the establishment stage of a plantation, the following funding per
1ha can be received:
From the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – reimbursement
of a part of the lump-sum of the costs incurred by planters for the
establishment of long-term energetic plantations. In 2008, the amount
of aid for the establishment of an energy willow plantation was 50% of the costs,
i.e. PLN 4,300 (according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s
estimates the lump-sum cost of the establishment of 1ha of plantation
is PLN 8,600).
Upon production commencement, per 1ha:
From the European Union – direct farming subsidies to the amount of
PLN 416 (data from 2007).
The average plantation income is approx. PLN 2,500/year, achieved as
early as in the 3rd year of the establishment of the plantation.
The possibility of recycling up to 300 tons of sludge for collection
of which sewage treatment plants pay from PLN 70 to 150/t.
And, in addition, preferential loans offered by banks for the establishment
of energy willow plantations.
